A fun and friendly art group for adults of all ages!

Immerse yourself in creativity with our weekly 3 hour sessions over a 14 week course. This unique program of carefully planned lessons is designed to give you the skills required to draw and paint and bring your imagination to life.

We believe everyone has an inner artist waiting to be unleashed and we're here to help you find it!

Throughout the 14 week course you will gain the experience needed to create beautiful works of art in four different media - Pencil, Oil Pastels, Watercolour and Acrylics. We cover a wide selection of subjects including figurative work, landscapes, still-life compositions and contemporary, colourful studies. Plus, you won’t need to worry about purchasing or bringing any art materials with you as everything is provided in class to help you create your stunning masterpieces.

By the end of the course you will be ready to impress your loved ones with a super portfolio filled with your very own original drawings and paintings. So whether you're an absolute beginner or simply looking to refine your talents, let’s unleash those amazing artworks together and make your artistic dreams a reality!

ENGAGING

The curriculum  is designed to be easy and entertaining, ideal for absolute beginners who have never picked up a brush before, through to those looking to enhance their existing skills.

With clear, straightforward tuition and personal guidance we introduce you to the fundamentals of drawing and painting.

You’ll gain an understanding of colour theory and discover how to construct your own visually appealing compositions.

Is the class suitable for all ages?

The Seasons Art Class is suitable for ADULTS of all ages. Come along, we'd love to meet you!

Can I join if I have no prior experience?

Absolutely! Our art class is designed to be inclusive and welcoming for total beginners as well as more experienced artists.

On what day is the class held?

Tuesday

9.30am to 12.30pm

 

Thursday

Morning - 10am to 1pm

Afternoon - 2pm to 5pm

Do you hold evening or weekend classes?

Our daytime classes have proved to be very popular and are convenient for those tied to family obligations and other commitments during the evenings or weekends. Therefore we currently run the course every Tuesday (morning) and Thursday (morning and afternoon)

What materials would I need to bring?

You won't need to worry about purchasing or bringing any art materials with you as everything is provided in class and included in the course fees.

Do you provide any refreshments

But of course! All free of charge, you have a choice of tea, coffee or fruit juice when you first arrive. Halfway through the lesson we have a short break with another beverage and a selection of biscuits (we find the shortbread and Jaffa cakes are particularly popular!)

Are there disabled facilities?

Yes, the venue is spacious and modern with everything on ground level. There is wheelchair access directly from the car park into the art room, a cloakroom and disabled toilet, plus ramps to access the garden.

Can I turn up on the first day to enrol?

Our classes are generally fully booked in advance. Therefore we highly recommended you enrol before the course begins to secure a place, rather than waiting until the start date.

The Seasons Art Class

The very first Seasons art course commenced in the beautiful and picturesque village of Arundel, located on the South Downs in West Sussex. Run by the local art shop, the curriculum and classes were so popular that the demand soon increased to the neighbouring villages.  Popularity grew and the Seasons Art Class spread throughout Great Britain. Now, nearly 20 years later, there are over 150 branches with 6,000 students every week! The Darlington Branch is owned and run by Megan Young, a professional artist and tutor with more than 30 years experience.
